How do you choose a size?

Choose a similar piece you feel comfortable in. The measurement helps prepare a comparison with a real manufacturer's chart.

  1. Upper width

    Lay a well-fitting dress flat and measure from underarm to underarm. Do not stretch the fabric.

  2. Waistline

    Check the width at the waist and the distance from the shoulder to that line. A tie does not replace dimension information.

  3. Total length

    Measure from the highest shoulder point to the hem. For a strappy style, include the strap length.

When the chart describes the body

If the brand requires body measurements, check chest, waist and hip circumferences. Keep the tape horizontal, without tightening. Compare garment length separately.
